Bowen 22 DDI

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThe 22 was the first Bowen designed and built by Brian in 1969.

We named it DDI, which in Trinidad means Down D Islands (D instead of the), referring to 4 small islands off the North West coast of Trinidad where most boaters “lime” (A Trini word which means hang out, drink rum, lots of rum, eat,  talk and laugh) on weekends and holidays.

The 22 is perfect for running around, going into shallow waters, for hotels who offer skiing or wake boarding to their guests and even transporting 5-6 people around  for a day of sea and sunshine. Built to take up to a 200hp engine, this boat comes as a standard center console with many options including the installation of an exterior engine bracket which allows the use of the entire square footage of the already large interior. The DDI is a good beginners boat for first time sea farers and continues in the Bowen tradition of being a dry boat compared to its competitors in this class and even BIGGER 25 footers.
