Named after Trinidad’s famed lizard, our current flagship model developed in 1971 was the second boat to be launched by Brian Bowen.
As the story goes, Brian was testing the engines in his new race boat when a Zandoli lizard decided to use one of the exhausts as his overnight home. The next day, the engines overheated as the lizard had clogged one of the water intakes.
He christened his new race boat “Zandoli” in honor of his uninvited guest. The Zandoli is also known to stick to the waves as the actual lizard sticks to walls, etc. The Zandoli established Bowen in the Caribbean and the rest of the world, and created our motto- The Driest boat in rough seas. The 28 can easily handle 8-12 people on a minimum of 400 hp and purrs with today’s big power plants. In 2013, with an investment of over US$120,000, the molds for this boat were completely reworked without changing the hull design, to give the best finish the 28 has ever seen. Brian would be proud of this boat!
The Zandoli is available in a standard center console, but can be customized in a cuddy cabin, side console or 2-seat side console format, or any combination. This boat is a workhorse for both pleasure and for fishermen.
