The Checkmate is Bowen’s proven performance boat with many successful race performances in races in Puerto Rico, Trinidad, Antigua, Grenada, and even in Key West.

Our logo, the horse's head of a chess game, and the most successful 38 racing boat once owned by a former shareholder of Bowen, inspired our naming this model.

The Checkmate is a versatile boat that can be built to go over 110 or outfitted to carry 25 people, DDI, scuba diving, or whale watching. The 38, like all our models, can handle the roughest of waters and can be built with a cuddy cabin for weekend trips.
